Trusting God

My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, All that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. The story of Elijah and the Widow at Zarephath is an interesting and profound story. It tells us that God loves every one of His daughters. She might have been praying for deliverance, and God heard her. To show how much God cares, He sends Elijah in the opposite direction and into "Back Woods" of Jezebel to deliver her. Some believe that God had tested both Elijah's and the widow's faith. Elijah instructed her to use the last of her resources to feed him. He assured her that God would provide for her needs. She, in good, faith did as Elijah instructed. In turn, God provides food for her and Elijah for the remainder of the famine. One of the lessons learned is that God will push and test you to your limits, to the bottom of the barrel, calling upon all your resources before he provides deliverance. God does not leave us alone. He hears our prayers and answers them. Sometimes in ways, you are not expecting.
