Love Your Neighbor as Yourself

My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, All that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. Since president trump has come to office, a disturbing trend in our country is surfacing. Trump has used racial hate and fear to when the election. The base of his support, unfortunately is the "Baby Boomers" who were born in the forties and fifties. Since he has taken office all the hate and racial groups have grown and surged. Our president has not done anything to curb this. In fact he has encouraged this type of behavior from his constituents. People have forgotten that this country was established by foreigners who were trying to escape persecution. As Christians we can not longer be silent. We have to pray for our government and our president that God will change his heart. In the meantime we have to set the example and treat people who are different as we wish to be treated. Jesus said when asked what is the greatest commandment of them all, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments”, (Matthew 22:37-40).
