I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "The Fingerprint of God" The scripture is from Ephesians 2:1–10 with key verse being "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" Ephesians 2:10. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. What I take from this passage God created us in his image. We are unique and different from anyone else, down to our fingernails. We are capable of reasoning, have relationships, and do good works. I have a student who gets frustrated because he cannot work as fast as the other students. I encourage him by telling him was created in God's image and unique. There is no one like him on the planet. If he is slower than his classmates, it is ok. He is who he is. God has plans for all of us. We have to stay close to Him and trust in The Holy Spirit to direct our paths.
