The Deadliest Weapon We Possess

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "The Point of No Return" The scripture is from James 3:1–12 with key verse being "The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body" James 3:6. Bill Crowder wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. We heard the expression, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me"? We know this is not true. The Bible says that our tongue is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body (James 3:6). We know words can literately kill. We must control what we say because words do matter. When we walk with God and live in His ways, we keep our tongue under control.
