Jesus GivesYou Rest for Your Souls

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Free to Follow" The scripture is from Matthew 11:25–30 with key verse being "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls" Matthew 11:29. Monica Brands wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. So many, including me, had the wrong expectations of being a Christian. We take too much upon ourselves. The Lord never intended for us to remake ourselves. That is His job once we choose to follow Jesus.
