I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries. Today's devotion is titled "Fellowship with Jesus" The scripture is from Philippians 3:7–14 with key verse being "I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord" Philippians 3:8. Joe Stowell wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words. He is the sole source of my writing. All the credit goes to God, not to me. I am only his humble servant. In the early days of Christianity, life was very difficult for Christians. No one will argue with that. Presently, we do not face those kinds of hardships. I have learned to put Christ first in everything I do. For example, I lost a teaching job in Los Angeles because teaching a certain curriculum did not coincide with Biblical truths. I work at a place where my boss directed me not to pay for services rendered. I informed him that I could not do this because it is wrong and against my religious beliefs. I did not lose my job, and I did pay all the company's overdue bills. God blessed me to be a "favor in my boss's eyes," and the department was blessed because of my actions. My life is much richer having Jesus and my fellowship with Him as my highest pursuit.
