I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Better Than Ever” The scripture is from Psalm 51:9-13 with the key verse, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me” Psalm 51:12. David H. Roper wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. All of us can relate to the author's point about confessed sins. Before I was born again, I was burden with confessed sins. The day I turned my life over to Christ, the tears poured down, but I felt the weight of those sins lifted off my shoulders. However, as mentioned by the author, I have committed more sins. One thing certain, we will continue to commit sins. God knows this but is willing to forgive and restore to us the joy of His salvation and grant us a willing spirit to sustain us.
Lord, we continue to fail You again and again. Please forgive us again and again. Change us. Turn us around. Teach us to follow Your ways.
My God bless and restore you again and again.
