Bigger Than Life

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Much More Than Words” The scripture is from Romans 8:22–30 with the key verse, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness” Romans 8:26. Lawrence Darmani wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. What I take from this devotion is that God is more than words. He is everything. He devised a way to save us from ourselves through his son and The Holy Spirit. Paul painted a bleak picture of our helpless status. We can't avoid the consequences of our actions, change our hearts, or make ourselves right with God. We also can’t do anything that would cause God to stop helping and loving us.

Thank You, Lord, for understanding our language and innermost longings. When our prayers are weak and dry, bear us up through Your Spirit.

May God bless and bear you up through His spirit.
