I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Safe in His Arms” The scripture is from Isaiah 40:9–11 with the key verse, “He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart. Isaiah 40:11. Arthur Jackson wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I feel the need the comfort of the Good Shepherd the emotional area of my life. Ever since Trump took office, I have been afraid of him abusing his powers to appease his supporters to turn back the clock back to the Jim Crow laws or worst. I live at the end of these terrible times of segregation, hatred, and discrimination. However, I learned to take solace and safety in the arms of Jesus knowing that He will not let things get that bad. God is still in control, and I put my faith in him.

Father, in a world where we are sometimes threatened, we are comforted because of Your gracious care for us—in and through the Lord Jesus Christ.

May God bless you and strengthen your faith.
