I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “He Carried Our Burden” The scripture is from 1 Peter 1:18–25 with the key verse, “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”. 1 Peter 2:24. Marvin Williams wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I often hear how guilty or sorrowful they are for things they did in the past. I was no different. Now that I turned my life over to Christ, The burden of sin is lifted from me. Another benefit is that I am more forgiving than ever, Instead of getting even, I pray for the individual and turn them over to God. What about you? there is nothing you did that is so bad you cannot be forgiven. I know I thought that way, also. god loves you and wants to take away the burdens of your sins. Jesus carried the burden of our sin so He could give us the blessing of life.

Lord, sometimes our guilt and shame can feel so heavy. Help us to release our past and its pain to You and experience Your peace, knowing You have carried it all and have set us free.

May God bless you and take away the burdens of your sin.
