I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Treasure in a Pumpkin” The scripture is from 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 with the key verse, “We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. .” 2 Corinthians 4:7. Kirsten Holmberg wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He lead me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. This devotion encourages us to persist in doing God's will for us. We may feel the wear and tear of our trials, but the joy of Jesus in us can continue to grow. The treasure stored in our frail bodies can flourish in the face of hardship because of Christ's power at work in us.
Dear Father, thank You for putting Your truth into our hearts and lives. Help us to bear up under the challenges we face with Your power. May others see Your work in our lives and come to know You too.
May God bless and strengthen you.
