God Hears Prayer

I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “God Hears” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from Romans 12:9–21 with the key verse, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12. Alyson Kieda wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Sometimes it is difficult to share your problems with others. We (my wife and I) understand. She tried to share what happened to our daughter with her closest friend and instead of her support, she lashed out, and blamed my wife for what happened to our daughter. My wife was heartbroken. We are going to a church, and the members appear to be genuine in their faith. They constantly pray for our daughter. We do not know what God has in store for our daughter, but we know He is listening. God listens to everyone's prayers.

Lord, Your Word urges us to pray continually. Help us to be persistent in prayer, and enable us to be faithful partners in prayer with others.
