I start every morning and evening with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. “A Christmas Letter” is the title of today’s devotion. The scripture is from John 1:1–14 with the key verse, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father” John 1:14. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved children, brothers and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. John 1:1-10 makes a true Christmas story. The point of this devotion is to keep Jesus in the forefront of our celebration of Christmas. We can do this by showing our love to others and share Jesus' story. Jesus, God’s love letter to us, has come and made His home among us. Now that’s an amazing Christmas gift!

Lord Jesus Christ, You are the Word of God, and You bring light into our lives. May we shine forth Your goodness and grace and bring You honor.
