Storms in Your Life? Jesus is with You

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “He Calms the Storms” The scripture is from Matthew 14:23–33 with the key verse, " But Jesus immediately said to them: Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.", Matthew 14:27. Estera Pirosca Escobar wrote this devotion. My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ I faced many storms in my life. I am going through a firestorm that I created. I know that Jesus loves me even when I make bad decisions. I know that Jesus has the power and authority to calm the storms in our lives Therefore, I shift my focus from the storm to the One who can calm it.

Reflect: What storm of life are you going through today? What can you do to shift your focus from the storm to the One who can calm it?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You that You have the power and authority to calm the storms in our lives. Help us to trust You.
