Surviving Life Storms

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Shelter from the Storm” The scripture is from Exodus 33:12–23 with the key verse, "When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by", Exodus 33:22. Amy Boucher Pye wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I went through many life storms. What ever the crisis, I knew that God would be with me every step of the way. Anyone can have the same assurance if they trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior. When we cry out to Him, He will give us the peace of His presence.

Reflect: As you look back at various seasons of your life, how do you see God’s loving presence during the storms? How do you experience His presence today?

Prayer: Father God help us to trust that You’re with us, even during the storms of life. May God bless you and provide you with what you need. Our Daily Bread Ministries (2019, Oct. 08). Shelter from the Storm, Amy Boucher Pye, retrieved from www.odb.org/2019/08/10/ Shelter from the Storm.
