Who is the Man?

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “The Main Actor” The scripture is from Exodus 33:12–23 with the key verse, " The Lord has done this", Psalm 118:23. Winn Collier wrote this devotion. My brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. When you obtain your dream job or receive a raise, do you believe that you accomplished all this on your own? If you do, you are wrong. God is in control of all aspects of your life. God is the true subject of our lives, and the true force. Even our necessary acts of faith are done “in the name of the Lord.” Also, God enacts our salvation, rescues us, and tends to our needs. All you have to do is trust and follow His lead in obedience.

Reflect: When are you most tempted to think you’re the main actor of your life? How has God invited you to let Him be the center of your life?

Prayer: God, I’ve been paying lip service to You being in charge of my world. It’s exhausting, and I want to stop doing that. Help me trust You.

May God bless you and trust him with your needs.
