The Ultimate Feast
I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “A Feast of Love” The scripture is from John 6:47–59 with the key verse, " I am the living bread that came down from heaven", John 6:51. Amy Peterson wrote this devotion. My brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. Thanksgiving is the time families get together to fellowship and share in the “feast”. 2000 years ago, Jesus prepared the ultimate “Feast” that we can fellowship and share. It was His flesh and blood. He promises whoever accepts Him as the “bread of life” will “live forever”. His sacrifice satisfies our spiritual cravings.
Reflect: How has God satisfied your hunger? What might it look like for you to give sacrificially?
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for giving Your body and blood for us. May God bless you and satisfy your hunger for His food.
