God in Relationships

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Braided Together” The scripture is from Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 with the key verse, " A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" Ecclesiastes 4:12. Jennifer Benson Schuldt wrote this devotion. My brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as a base for comments. I understand what the author of Ecclesiastes was alerting to. Personal relationships need to be nurtured to remain strong. If not, the relationship will grow apart and not experience what God has to offer. God needs to be the "third strand" in the relationship. When our relationships are woven together with God, there is a greater sense of stability and closeness. Our relationship will grow stronger. Reflect: What can you do to strengthen the spiritual bonds you share with the important people in your life? How might your relationships change if serving and worshiping God together became a priority? Prayer: Dear God, I welcome You into my closest relationships today.

May God bless you and welcome Him into your closest relationships today.
