Forced Love Is Not Love

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “God Waited” The scripture is from Isaiah 30:8–18 with the key verse, “The Lord longs to be gracious to you” Isaiah 30:18. Winn Collier wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as an inspiration for my comments. We all know about "forced compliance". Laws, rules, oaths, and orders are a few. People in authority make us to comply. However, God who is omnipotent, never forces us to love him or to follow Him. He leaves the choice to us. Those who choose to accept his marvelous gift of Salvation through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus, God lavishes His people with kindness, love, blessing, and his everlasting presence in our lives. God is waiting and longs for you to accept what He has to offer. What are you waiting for? Reflect: In what areas of your life has God been waiting for you? How might you surrender to Him? Prayer: God, it boggles my mind that You wait for me. Wait? For me? This makes me trust You, desire You. Please come. Give me Your full self. May God bless you and give you His full self.
