Looking For Trouble or Trouble Looking for You

I start every morning with coffee and God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread Ministries, https://odb.org. Today’s devotion is titled “Storm Chasers” The scripture is from Psalm 107:23–32 with the key verse, “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed” Psalm 107:29. Bill Crowder wrote this devotion. My beloved children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all that I write, I pray first to God to guide my words, so that it may serve as spiritual food and guidance. I want God to be the sole source of my writing, so all the credit goes to Him, not to me. I am only his humble servant. I thank God that He led me to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as an inspiration for my comments. I remember watching the movie, “Twister” and watching real storm chasers on The Weather Channel. They are looking for trouble. I do not want to look for the trouble of any kind. However, living in a broken world you know sooner, or later trouble will find you. Whether the storms of life are of our own making or the result of living in a broken world, our Father is greater.

Reflect:

When facing difficulties, where do you turn for help? How might you trust your heavenly Father today, who is greater than your storms?

Prayer:

Thank You, Father, that You’re with us in our struggles and Your power is greater than any storm on our horizons.

May God bless you and be with you during your difficulties.
