Treasure the Moments

I start every morning with coffee with God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread. Today’s devotion is titled “Treasure the Moments” Poh Fang Chia wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is Ecclesiastes 3:1–14 with the key verse, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble,” Ecclesiastes 3:11. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all I write, I first pray to God to guide my words to serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of writing. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as my inspiration for comments.

Right now, I am afraid to venture outside for any length of time due to the virus. The Corona Virus makes life uncertain and frightening. People all over the world lost loved ones, and many are infected. We want everything to be consistent in our lives, but now times are very unpredictable.

The author of Ecclesiastes said that in our world, times and situations change. Life is unpredictable and filled with pains of loss or separation. God is aware of everything that takes place. Knowing that God is with us, we can enjoy life and treasure the good and bad times.

Reflect:

What are some things you are afraid to try because of life’s unpredictability? How can you lean on Jesus as you step forward in courage to forge new friendships and deepen relationships?

Prayer:

Thank You, loving Father, for watching over all seasons of my life. Help me to trust in You and enjoy the life You have given me.

My Prayer for You:

May God bless and help you trust Him and enjoy the life He has given you.
