Grace Outside the Box

I start every morning with coffee with God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread. Today’s devotion is titled “Grace Outside the Box.” Mike Wittmer wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is 2 Samuel 9:1–7 with the key verse, “Mephibosheth ate at David’s table like one of the king’s sons.”, 2 Samuel 9:11. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ, all I write, I first pray to God to guide my words to serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of writing. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as my inspiration for comments.

I cannot think of anyone who has sinned against me. If someone did, I would forgive, because I deserved it. In my life, I have sinned against many people and God.

God forgave me of my sins but holding me accountable, as should. On judgment day, I will have to answer for these sins, but God will no longer remember them through His Son. God may never find a more grateful servant than me.

Reflect:

Who has sinned against you? How might you hold them accountable while also forgiving them?

Prayer:

Father, I have received extraordinary grace from You. Help me show that grace to others—especially to those with a repentant spirit.

My Prayer for You:

May God bless and help you show grace to others—especially to those with a repentant spirit.
