Running into Love

I start every morning with coffee with God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread. Today’s devotion is titled “Running into Love.” Tim Gustafson wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is from Jeremiah 31:1–9 with the key verse, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”, Jeremiah 31:3. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ, for all I write, I first pray to God to guide my words to serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of writing. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as my inspiration for comments.

Before I became a Christian, my attitude and remarks about God were like those made by Bridget. I believed that God loved everyone but me, and He will reject my pleas for forgiveness.

The day I decided to confess my sins and turn my life over to Jesus was a huge mental and spiritual battle. As I walked down the aisle of this large church, I heard Satan telling me that God hates me, and He will not forgive. A loving hand touched my shoulder, and I began to cry. I felt God’s love.

I learned that God did not leave us to our sins because He loves us beyond imagination. He welcomes us with open arms.

Reflect:

What is your perception of God? How does it line up with the God you read about in today’s Scripture reading?

Prayer:

Father, I so often take Your incredible love for granted. Forgive me and help me to reflect that love to someone today.

My Prayer for You:

May God bless and help you to reflect His love to someone today.
