I start every morning with coffee with God through daily devotions from Our Daily Bread. Today’s devotion is titled “The Ultimate Wave.” James Banks wrote this devotion. The scripture reading is from Colossians 1:1–8; with the key verse, “The gospel is bearing fruit and growing.”, Colossians 1:6. My beloved children, grandchildren, cousins, nephews, brothers, and sisters in Christ; for all I write, I first pray to God to guide my words to serve as spiritual food and guidance. I desire God to be my sole source of writing. All the credit goes to God, not me. I am his humble servant. I thank God that He led to use Our Daily Bread Ministries as my inspiration for comments.

Everyone wants to be part of a group. It is natural; God created us to social beings. I enjoyed the wave and being on a tennis team. The best group I have ever joined is God’s family.

I first heard the news about the good news of Jesus was from my doubles partner and his wife. They talked about how happy they were and their freedom from sin. Since I became a Christian, I freely speak to everyone about God’s love and salvation through Jesus Christ. I pray every day that God will send me someone whom I can share the Gospel.

Reflect:

From whom did you first hear the good news of Jesus? How can you share it with another person close to you this week?

Prayer:

I praise You for the wonderful gift of my salvation, Father. Please send me to someone who needs to hear of Your kindness today!

My Prayer for You:

I pray that you get the gift of God’s salvation, have an opportunity to tell someone about God’s kindness, mercy, and love.
